What to Expect

Due to the nature of being a mobile veterinary practice, arrival times can vary by 30 to 60 minutes. Often depending on the time of day & distance traveled. Each home visit tends to be unique in that we do not know how the visit will go, unless we are familiar with your pets & you. Usually we can tell you that most pets are more comfortable in their own environment, and with their people in sight. But that does not guarantee that all will go smooth. At times pets have favorite hiding places and know the home better than we do, so that can be challenging at times. That tends to be the case more so with cats in their home, but we can advise pet owners on how to handle these challenges to try to make the home visit the most stress free and comfortable for each individual pet. Once we have entered the home, we try to find a comfortable area with room to work & good lighting. We start with pertinent medical history asking questions and getting background on each individual pet. Dr. Lopez will examine your pet, ask further questions and make appropriate recommendations for each individual pet. There is always time for any questions you may have for Dr. Lopez regarding your pet’s health and well being. When we are getting ready to leave, we try to make sure that both people and pets are comfortable with the exam & procedures performed, make a plan for future veterinary care and schedule follow up visits if & when necessary.

Payment is expected at the end of the visit & can be made in the form of cash, check or VISA/MC. Your receipt will be emailed to you in minutes & any further communication will be made via email between Dr. Lopez & pet parent.
